Currently on 10 goals so far this season, Rec’s Nathan Perks gave all credit to the assist-makers in supplying his goal contributions.
He most recently netted in the 4-0 victory over Shelley, his fourth strike in six fixtures throughout October.
The Rec captain is confident that with the players around him and his playing style, he can double his current total.
“The credit goes to the players around me, putting the balls in – I’ve just got to finish them”.
“I understand the manager goes
with a game plan,” conceived Perks. “[Against Wakefield] it was going to be
hard, a big pitch against two massive centre-halves, so kicking balls up for me
to try and win headers, I wasn’t going to win. The aim was to get in behind,
where you choose pace”.
The objective for Perks is simple.
Rec return to Sheerien Park on Saturday afternoon for the first time in four fixtures in the NCEL Division One, hosting Wombwell Town.
